How the Reference Works
Wisconsin public-records law can make many government records available, but a booking photo, current jail entry, prison identification image, and court file do not come from one system. The Marathon County Sheriff creates County booking material and operates the adult-custody route. Wisconsin DOC serves a separate state-corrections role, and the courts hold public case information after a booking. This resource organizes those official paths and explains their limits. It does not publish a collection of booking images or copy official records into its own database.
What Is Available Here
Site content is arranged around practical source selection rather than a list of people or photographs.
- The Marathon County records and custody overview, including official roster and request paths.
- Context for public wanted-person information on Wanted Fugitives.
- Local reporting context and official follow-up sources on Arrest News.
- City-specific source notes for Wausau, Weston, and Kronenwetter.
Limits of This Private Site
Marathon County Busted Mugshots is independently operated. It is not affiliated with Marathon County, the Marathon County Sheriff's Office, a jail, Wisconsin DOC, a court, or any other government agency. Nothing here replaces an official record or legal advice.
- It cannot verify a person’s present custody status, charges, or release.
- It cannot release, hold, transfer, or otherwise act for a person in custody.
- It cannot post bond, arrange visits, send funds, or obtain official files for a visitor.
- It cannot promise that a number, fee, address, or online result remains current.
An arrest or booking record describes an allegation, not proof of guilt. Official sources and a court case may change as a matter moves forward.
Search Partners
Some pages use search tools supplied by third-party providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, and result practices. If a partner tool leads to a paid enrollment, Marathon County Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee that helps support the resource. The site does not control a partner’s pricing, availability, or search results.
